PRODUCT SUPPORT INTERN
(Contract Position)

The CCDI is a craft and design sector development agency with a mission to develop capable people and build responsible creative enterprises trading within local and international markets. As part of the Expanded Public Works Programme management by the Arts and Culture component of the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, the CCDI is putting out a call for unemployed applicants to fill the following positions for a period of 12 months, in order to offer short-term work opportunities to gain work experience:

ADMIN ASSISTANT
(Contract Position)
This position will be responsible for: providing administrative assistance and logistical support to CCDI’s Operations team | assist the Business Development unit with logistical management of travel, car hire and accommodation requirements | relief work at Reception
You will need: a matric qualification | an Office Administration or Secretarial qualification will be advantageous | to be unemployed | to be 18 years and older | a valid SA identity document and have a bank account | to be able to communicate (orally and in writing) in at least 2 of the 11 official languages | a good work ethic | to be open to receiving training and experience | a valid driver’s license is essential | to be computer literate


PRODUCT SUPPORT INTERN
(Contract Position)
The main responsibility of this position will be to assist in CCDI’s Product Support facility and the ideal candidate should be skilled, have experience or a practical interest in the following:
Computer based design | A practical ability with workshop tools and equipment | Digital fabrication | Electronics / Arduino / Raspberry pi | 3D printing | Teaching art
In addition to the above, you will also need: to be a fast learner | to be able to work well with people | to be unemployed | to be 18 years and older | a valid SA identity document and have a bank account | to be able to communicate (orally and in writing) in at least 2 of the 11 official languages | a good work ethic | to be open to receiving training and experience
